Airline Arrangements

Shipping a Puppy
Can OwyheeStar ship you a pup? The short answer is yes. Here are some considerations before they agree to fly a pup to anyone.
1. A direct flight is preferable
2. No more than one connection -- each time a pup changes planes it adds risk and time. The layover to change a plane is never less than an hour, and in many cases, requires more than two hours.
3. Most airlines require a Health Certificate. The cost will be added to your invoice.
4. An airline approved kennel is also required. The cost is added to the invoice.

The pups best interest is at the heart of the decision to ship or not to ship. OwyheeStar is going to consider the well-being of the pup above and beyond any other factor. Factors that affect the choice are travel time, flight availability, extreme heat or cold, and such.  OwyheeStar spends time preparing each pup for the trip to ensure they are less traumatized. Of course, it is a huge change from what they have known regardless of what OwyheeStar does. In twenty years, there has never been an airline incident. Surprisingly, most arrive a clean kennel.
