Birdie Delivers (December 26, 2021)

Projected Due Date December 28, 2021

Watch The Process Unfold!
12/26/2021 (blessed event)  --Cliff and I were up all night with Birdie. We have six puppies. More news and quick snapshots coming.

12/26/2021 (after lunch today)  --Cliff and Birdie went for a walk to get exercise. She is not like the birth pangs (real or preparatory) either way--not fun.

12/26/2021 --We are through Christmas proper. So, there is no doubt we are getting closer to the blessed event, which will be more like the first pups of 2022--even if they arrive on time. Birdie is nesting, and she ate the camera cord in half last night. She is feeling weird--we get it. Cliff and Shela are still hovering, and Birdie is barking a bit at the moment. She has been content when not tearing up the camera-momentarily distracted and distraught, I guess. (Haha)

12/25/2021 --Cliff and I have realized that Christmas is going to pass this by. Birdie has started eating again. She is hunkered down in her whelp area near our bedroom and master bath. We have the camera working after she messed with it on numerous occasions. (haha) Nevertheless, we are hovering closely at all times.

12/24/2021 --Cliff and I are homebound--someone has to be here 24 X 7--as Berdie is getting close to her projected whelp date, and she is already in the 59-day window, meaning via pups could arrive any moment. She has gone off her food--another sign, the birthing process is imminent. We are wondering if we are going to have Christmas puppies.

Although she sports the longhair coat, the pups will all be the traditional smooth coat because Boone is the sire--and he doesn't carry the longhair marker. Watch for more News!
