Here is the Very Sweet Birdie who about to whelp her first litter (Sired by Boone). Her parents are Bettee and Manfred.

She is out of excellent hunt lineage, but also this lineage has produced fabulous family Weims. Although she sports the longhair coat, the pups will all be the traditional smooth coat because Boone is the sire--and he doesn't carry the longhair marker.
